Nebuilah has been hard at work recording her upcoming album, “PRIMA”. With promotional events spawning up every week, this artist has expressed some difficulties completing her work. We had a chance to sit down with her at a recent photo shoot and ask her some questions about what she’s been up to.
NW.NET: How did you learn how to sing?
NI: I always sang along with Whitney, Michael, and TLC in the 90’s. I was in a musical in middle school, and I took music classes in college. I also have taken many voice lessons.
NW.NET: Do you think that your former relationships with Tom Anderson played a roll in the delayed release of your upcoming album?
NI: You know… my personal life has a bad habit of crossing over into my work life. I guess the price of fame is that you have no personal life (laughs). But no, I’m a strong woman, I cry my tears in private and find my way back to the stage.
NW.NET: Who are you dating?
NI: I don’t want to say, I really would like to focus on the music for now. It’s what’s most important to me and I… you know became something because of it, not because of my boyfriends.
NW.NET: No problem, moving right along. What are some of your inspirations for this album?
NI: My travels around the country, the money I’ve spent, many of the fancy gifts I’ve received, my shows, and of course, my relationships, including friendships.
NW.NET: When is the release date?
NI: I can’t say just yet.
NW.NET: Why is there so much secrecy surrounding the upcoming release date?
NI: I’m still recording with my engineer and honestly, I want to say September, but I said that last year and it didn’t happen.
NW.NET: Well if you’re already recording…
NI: Maybe the fall. In the fall.
NW.NET: There are so many rumors about your age Nebuilah. How old are you really?
NI: (Laughs) I’m 24, I’ll be 25 in August. I was born in 1990, but I’m mature for my age. I’ve been through a lot to get to this point in music.
NW.NET: What genre of music would you consider PRIMA to be?
NI: It’s very Techno- Pop.
NW.NET: Last question, how is your family adjusting to your fame?
NI: They’re sticking to their day jobs for now. So am I. Maybe they’ll be able to retire early I don’t know.
We look forward to hearing the next single on this songstress’s upcoming album!
